Abrasion resistance: The abrasion resistance of the PC board after being treated with anti-ultraviolet coating can be increased several times, which is similar to that of glass. Hot stamping can be cold-bent into a certain arc without cracking, and can be cut or drilled again. Anti-theft, anti-gun PC can be pressed into a security window with glass, which is used in hospitals, schools, libraries, banks, embassies and prisons, where glass can improve the hardness and wear resistance of the plate. PCs can also be pressed with other PC layers or acrylics for use in traditional security applications.

UV protection: UV protection, only some single-layer board surfaces turn yellow or hazy under prolonged sunlight. It is also suitable as a low-temperature resistant material. The PC board has excellent thermal insulation performance, and the thermal insulation performance of the PC board is about 16% higher than that of glass under the same thickness condition, which can block the transmission of thermal energy. Whether it’s keeping warm in winter or preventing heat intrusion in summer, PC boards can reduce building energy consumption and save energy.

Anti-combustion performance: PC board has good flame retardancy, does not produce toxic gas when burning, and its smoke concentration is lower than that of wood and paper, and is determined to be a flame-retardant material, in line with environmental protection standards. After 30 seconds of combustion, the combustion length of the sample did not exceed 25mm, and the flammable gas was decomposed when the hot air was up to 467 °C. Therefore, after relevant measurements, it is considered that its fire performance is qualified.

Chemical resistance: force does not react to acids, alcohols, juices, beverages; It also has a certain resistance to gasoline and kerosene, and will not crack or lose its light transmission ability within 48 hours of contact. However, it is less chemically resistant to certain chemicals (e.g., amines, esters, halogenated hydrocarbons, paint diluents).

Light weight: the density of polycarbonate is about 1.29/cm, which is half lighter than glass, such as making hollow PC boards, its mass is 1/3 of plexiglass, and about 1/15~1/12 of glass. The hollow PC board is stiff and can be used as a bone structure part. The lightweight of the PC board makes the construction safe and more convenient, which can greatly save the time and cost of shipping and construction.
