Polycarbonate sheet, referred to as PC board, is made of polycarbonate polymer as raw material, using advanced formula and the latest extrusion technology. PC board is a new type of high-strength, light-transmitting building material, which is the best building material to replace glass and plexiglass. Compared with laminated glass, tempered glass, insulating glass, etc., PC board has more excellent properties such as lightweight, weather resistance, super strength, flame retardant and sound insulation, and has become a popular building decoration material.

Different product forms can be divided into solid and hollow. SOLID SLAB: COMMONLY KNOWN AS ENDURANCE BOARD, IT IS A SOLID SINGLE-LAYER STRUCTURE, WITH A CONVENTIONAL THICKNESS FROM 1.8-20MM. Hollow core slab: Commonly known as sunlight slab, it is a multi-layer hollow structure.
Product features:
a. High light transmittance, anti-ultraviolet: the light transmittance of polycarbonate solar panel can reach up to 89%, which can be compared with glass. The UV coating on the surface will not produce yellowing and fogging when exposed to sunlight.
b. Light weight and impact resistance: the specific gravity is only half of that of glass, and the impact strength is indeed 250-300 times that of ordinary glass, and the risk of breaking under the impact of external force is very low.
c. Flame retardant: PC board is flame retardant, that is, B1 grade. It is self-extinguishing after leaving the fire, and does not produce toxic gases when burning.
d. Bendability: cold bending or hot bending can be used to install arched, semicircular roofs and windows. The minimum bending radius is 175 times the thickness of the plate used.
e. Sound insulation: Polycarbonate endurance board has obvious sound insulation effect, and has better sound insulation than glass and acrylic board of the same thickness.
f. Weather resistance and energy saving: It can maintain the stability of various physical indicators in the range of -40°C~120°C. It is cool in summer and insulated in winter, and the thermal insulation effect is 7%-25% higher than that of the same glass, which is used in buildings with heating equipment and is an environmentally friendly material.
g. Variable colors and finishes: Dozens of colors and finishes can be adapted to the ideal atmosphere of almost any project.
Disadvantages:
a. It is difficult to make various shapes, and the PC board is extruded, mainly flat and arc-shaped.
b. Polycarbonate itself is not strong in acid and alkali resistance, so PC sheets are modified polycarbonate sheets, which leads to great differences in material properties of various manufacturers. The price difference is also significant.
